Civil Engineering Aplications of Impedance and Radiofrequency Techniques

The group has developed NDT methods to assess distribution and quantity of fibres in the concrete:

•  Open Coaxial Transmission Line (OCTL)

Measurement of a wave emitted and captured by a coaxial sensor, after being reflected by the concrete and fibres.

•  Coplanar Transmission Line

Measurement of a wave that travels surfing on the concrete samples

•  Induction

The method measures the induction caused by a sample that passes through a coil.
