Research Areas
The main objective of this research line is the design and development of therapy, diagnosis and monitoring systems in the medical, sports, automotive, the promotion of healthy lifestyles, and animal implant areas. We are focused on the development of portable biomedical instrumentation, and in the design and development of new sensors and signal processing algorithms for the non-invasive monitoring biomedical signals based on mobile platforms.
The objective of this research area is the measurement of physical parameters in a broad range of materials from in-vitro cell cultures and human tissues to concrete by non invasive techniques based on impedance measurements. The main techniques used are: Electrical Impedance Tomography, Impedance Spectroscopy, Inductive Spectroscopy and Radiofrequency propagation
In this area of research, we develop innovative methods for the measurement and testing of electromagnetic interference in electronic systems. Our activity includes near field measurements, time domain techniques and immunity EMC tests in complex environments.
